DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY-B

DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY-B
Good evening/morning everyone. After the glorious celebration of our Lord's Resurrection, I have strongly decided to invite all denominations to our Church. Yes, I in a special way would like to accept fifty and hundred-dollar bills.
On a visit to see his grandmother, a teen boy listens as she goes on and on about the
Once a mother sought from King Napoleon pardon of her son. But the king said that it was the man's second offence and justice demanded his death. She then looked at him and said, "I am here not for justice but for mercy". The king said, "your son doesn't deserve mercy". She then said, "It would not be mercy if he deserved it and mercy is all I ask". The King finally said, "then I have mercy for your son".
We do not need justice but mercy. It's because justice is another form of revenge. We need only mercy from Christ.
What is mercy?
Mercy means love in action. Our God is full of love and compassion and that is why He sent His only Son to us. The merciful redeemer gave life for us all.
Today we celebrate 'Divine Mercy Sunday'. Pope John Paul the second blessed this Sunday as divine mercy Sunday. As we all know the story of St. Faustina kowalska to whom Jesus the merciful one appeared and asked her to let the whole world know how much He loves us and has compassion for us all.
By the way, this private apparition and revelations do not reveal something new to the world. God revealed everything through His only Son the risen Christ. He is the ultimate revelation and there is no other revelation beside Him. But these private apparitions and revelations only give more assurance of God's mercy and compassion.

Divine Mercy Sunday calls us to remember the acronym –FINCH. The letter 'F' stands for
the feast of divine mercy Sunday. Those who celebrate the divine mercy will be given a special blessing to face their challenges in life. The letter 'I' stands for Image of divine mercy. Those who keep the image of divine mercy at home and celebrate the mercy of God be given more strength to resist temptations. The letter 'N' stands for the novena of divine mercy. Those who say the novena of divine mercy will be granted special favors. And the letter 'C' stands for chaplet of divine mercy. Those who recite the chaplet of divine mercy will experience the mercy of God every day and the letter 'H' stands for the hour of divine mercy. Those who recite the chaplet at 3.00 in the afternoon or any other set time, will be given more blessings. So, when we think about divine mercy, let us remember the acronym 'Finch'. Let us celebrate 'divine mercy' and enjoy His endless love and kindness.
Once a beggar who was sitting by the side of the road over thirty years asked a stranger who walked by saying, "Please spare me some change". The Stanger looked at him and said, "I don't have any change today and what are you sitting on and the beggar said, "it's an old box and I have been sitting on it for as long as I remember". Have you ever looked inside? No, what is the point. The stranger insisted to look inside and then with much effort, the beggar opened the box and when he looked in, he could not believe his own eyes. The box was filled with precious stones and gold.
There are people today running around everywhere looking for peace and harmony. There are people going to place to place to find happiness and joy, not knowing as baptized people we are already given divine peace. The risen Christ filled us all with permanent divine life-giving peace. All we have to do is just acknowledge our spiritual prosperity and wealth in our prayer and sacraments.
Christ todays gives His divine peace to His apostles and gave them the Holy Spirit to experience the divine peace and mercy. The resin Christ said to Thomas who said, "My Lord and My God", "Thomas, you believe me because you have seen me. But, blessed are those who have not seen me and yet have come to believe".

Conclusion:
Friends in Christ Jesus, we are all blessed in a special way by our merciful divine Savior. It's because we have not seen Him physically and yet we put our complete trust in Him and we have not seen Him and yet, we do everything for his glory and honor and we haven't seen him and yet, we celebrate life and help others to know the love of God.
